It was a little too much in too little time and as a result somewhat misses the mark on the impact it's supposed to have given the scale of the endgame. But as it ended as a cliffhanger, we're all expecting the story to continue in an 11th season.

No I don't, Robbie Amell said he never got a contract that ties him to more than the two episodes he and Lauren Ambrose did. It's also too obvious how similar Millar and Einstein are to Mulder and Scully and I think this was meant as an in-joke more than a setup for a spin-off or a take over.
DeletePassing the torch when you've only met the characters in 2 episodes is way way too soon. I'm also getting a distinct vibe that this is most definitely not what people want.
The X-Files is Mulder and Scully and as long as David and Gillian are happy to continue the show will be centered around them.
